BOSTON -- A total of 19 former Husky baseball players saw action in the 2025 season in professional baseball systems around the world, highlighted by three Huskies in the Major Leagues, including rookie sensation Cam Schlittler who made postseason history with the New York Yankees.

Cam Schlittler (2020-22) -- SP -- New York Yankees
- Made his MLB debut on July 9, 2025, earning a win over Seattle while throwing his fastest pitch at 100 mph - the fastest by a Yankees pitcher all season.
- Finished the regular season with a 4-3 record, 2.96 ERA, 84 strikeouts in 73.0 innings across 14 starts.
- Made postseason history in Game 3 of the AL Wild Card Series with 8 scoreless innings, 12 strikeouts, and 0 walks - the first pitcher ever with that stat line in a postseason game.
- Finished the postseason with a 1.26 ERA in 14.1 innings of work, with 14 strikeouts, no walks, and a 1-1 record.
Aaron Civale (2014-16) -- SP -- Chicago Cubs
- Posted a 4-9 record with a 4.85 ERA, striking out 88 batters with 33 walks.
- Saw time with the Milwaukee Brewers, Chicago White Sox, and Chicago Cubs during the season.
- The Cubs claimed him off waivers and moved him to the bullpen late in the year, making a key postseason relief appearance where he threw 4.1 scoreless innings with three strikeouts.
Adam Ottavino (2004-2006) -- RP -- New York Yankees
- Made 3 appearances totaling 1.2 innings with the Yankees, recording 3 strikeouts and 0 earned runs.
- After his early season action, became a baseball analyst for various outlets including MSG Network, and started his own YouTube live show, 'Baseball and Coffee with Adam Ottavino'.
Jason Vosler (2012-2014) -- 1B/3B -- Chunichi Dragons (NPB - Japan)
- Signed with Chunichi Dragons on November 27, 2024 for the 2025 NPB season.
- Played 122 games in his first season in Japan, batting .261 with 33 doubles, 2 triples, 13 home runs, and 58 RBIs.
Andrew Misiaszek (2016-19) -- RP -- Columbus Clippers (Cleveland Guardians)
- Had a strong spring training with 6 strikeouts and 0 earned runs in 6.2 innings before being reassigned to minor league camp.
- Made 23 appearances for Triple-A Columbus with a 1-1 record and 2 saves in 28.1 innings pitched.
- Struck out 27 while walking 18, posting a 1.87 WHIP and 5.7 K/9 rate.
Max Burt (2015-2018) -- INF -- Scranton/Wilkes-Barre & Somerset (New York Yankees)
- Split time between Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and Double-A Somerset across 68 games.
- Batted .233 with 45 hits, 13 doubles, a triple, and 23 RBIs while adding 11 stolen bases.
- Made numerous highlight-reel defensive plays throughout the season.
Ben Malgeri (2021) -- OF -- Erie SeaWolves & West Michigan Whitecaps (Detroit Tigers)
- Made 79 appearances across Double-A Erie and High-A West Michigan.
- Batted .289 with an .858 OPS, collecting 78 hits including 21 doubles, 7 triples, and 7 home runs.
- Added 31 RBIs and 5 stolen bases.
Brandon Dufault (2018-2021) -- P -- Inland Empire 66ers / ACL Angels (Los Angeles Angels)
- Split time between A-ball and Rookie level, making 22 appearances (14 starts) with a 7-5 record across 70.0 innings.
- Recorded 57 strikeouts with a 1.87 WHIP.
- Made 3 appearances (1 start) for Salt River in the Arizona Fall League, working 7.2 innings with 6 strikeouts.
Sebastian Keane (2020-22) -- P -- Hudson Valley Renegades & Somerset Patriots (New York Yankees)
- Made 27 appearances (26 for High-A Hudson Valley, 1 for Double-A Somerset).
- Posted a stellar 7-0 record with a 3.43 ERA in 39.1 innings.
- Struck out 38 while walking 21 with a 1.24 WHIP.
Eric Yost (2021-23) -- SP -- San Antonio Missions / Fort Wayne TinCaps (San Diego Padres)
- Made 25 starts across High-A and Double-A levels.
- Posted a 3.75 ERA over 124.2 innings with 113 strikeouts against 60 walks and a 1.39 WHIP.
Mike Sirota (2022-24) -- OF -- Rancho Cucamonga Quakes / Great Lakes Loons (Los Angeles Dodgers)_
- Made 59 appearances in his first professional season, advancing to High-A Great Lakes.
- Hit .316 with Great Lakes across 35 games, collecting 37 hits including 8 doubles, a triple, 6 home runs, and 30 RBIs.
- Combined A-ball and High-A stats: .333 average, 1.068 OPS, 13 home runs, and 54 RBIs.
- Finished the season as the 64th-ranked prospect in all of Major League baseball per MiLB, and 3rd in the Dodgers organization.
Dennis Colleran (2022-24) -- RP -- Columbia Fireflies & Quad Cities River Bandits (Kansas City Royals)
- Began at Low-A Columbia with 22 relief appearances, posting a 4-0 record with three saves.
- Struck out 39 against just 19 walks in 31.0 innings with a 1.32 WHIP.
- After promotion to High-A Quad Cities, made 21 relief appearances with a 5-0 record, 1.83 ERA, and 0.81 WHIP across 34.1 innings.
- Made seven appearances with the Surprise Saguaros in the Arizona Fall League, with a 1.17 ERA, allowing just two hits and three walks while striking out 11.
Added to professional baseball via the 2025 MLB Draft were

Jordan Gottesman (2025) -- LHP -- Eugene Emeralds (San Francisco Giants)
- Made his professional debut in the Eugene Emeralds' season finale, pitching 2.0 scoreless innings with a strikeout.
Cam Maldonado (2023-25) -- OF -- San Jose Giants (San Francisco Giants)
- Made 17 appearances for the San Jose Giants, collecting 14 hits including six doubles and 10 RBIs.
- Hit a game-winning triple in Game 1 of the California League Divisional Series, helping propel the Giants to a California League championship.
Jack Goodman (2024-25) -- SS -- Lakeland Flying Tigers (Detroit Tigers)
- Made his professional debut with Lakeland, appearing in 11 games with 14 hits, three doubles, a triple, a home run, five RBIs, and four stolen bases.
- Posted a .333 batting average and .985 OPS in his first pro summer.
Cooper McGrath (2024-25) -- RHP -- San Francisco Giants
- Posted a 1-0 record in 10 games as a closer for the Trenton Thunder in the MLB Draft League before being selected by the Giants.
The 20th pro Husky this season was relief pitcher Thomas Balboni, currently in the Yankees system, who was sidelined this season with Tommy John surgery. Balboni holds a 4-2 career record with two saves in 30 appearances, after his 15th-round draft selection in 2022 by San Diego.
