Northeastern Hosts Stonehill For Homecoming Weekend

BOSTON, Mass. — The No. 14 Northeastern men's hockey team returns home for Homecoming Weekend, hosting the Stonehill Skyhawks in a two-game series on Friday, Nov. 7 and Saturday, Nov. 8, with both games set for 7 p.m.

THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
  1. SCOUTING THE SKYHAWKS: This marks the third consecutive year -- and third time in program history -- that the huskies face the Skyhawks at home. Northeastern owns a perfect 2-0-0 all-time record against the Skyhawks, outscoring them 12-1 through two meetings. Senior Vinny Borgesi leads all Huskies with five career points (2g, 3a) against Stonehill. Junior Dylan Hryckowian has tallied two assists, while sophomore Jack Henry has contributed one assist in the series.
  2. JUST A GOLDEN GOAL SCORERRookie Amine Hajibi had tallied three points (2g, 1a) to kick off his first collegiate season. Both his goals have come at Matthew Arena -- and both have been game winners. He is the first Husky to record back-to-back home game-winning goals since forward Zach Solow accomplished the feat in a weekend sweep over Maine during the 2019-20 season (5-2 win on Nov. 22 and 3-2 win on Nov. 23).
  3. SCORING IN SIXESNortheastern's scoring depth has been a major early-season strength, with 18 of 20 skaters recording at least one point in the first month of play. Four Huskies share the team lead with six points each: juniors Dylan Hryckowian and Tyler Fukakusa, sophomore Joe Connor, and rookie Jacob Mathieu -- a group that has combined for 24 of NU's 52 points.
