AMESBURY, Mass. — Junior Lawton Zacher of the Northeastern men's hockey team has been named the Stop It Goaltending Goaltender of the Week, Hockey East announced Monday. The honor marks Zacher's second conference recognition of the 2025-26 season.
Zacher backstopped the Huskies to a weekend sweep of New Hampshire, earning two wins while stopping 56 of 58 shots across the series. The New York native posted a 26-save shutout in Friday's victory, adding to his NCAA-leading shutout total this season, before recording a 30-save performance on Sunday.
He finished the series with a stellar .970 save percentage and 1.00 goals-against average, anchoring an elite defensive effort for Northeastern.
Zacher and Northeastern return to action with a two-game series at Merrimack this Thursday (Jan. 22) and Friday (Jan. 23) at Lawler Rink.
