PROVIDENCE, RI - The Northeastern offense could only muster three shots, all by Sarah Broderick, and lost at Brown 4-0.
the Bears played one of their best all-around games of the season, and took the lead at 17:55 when Susana Garcia knocked in a rebound. The Bears scored againt with eight minutes left in the half, when Lizzie Buza scored from a pass by Garcia. Brown took a 2-0 lead into the half.
In the second half, it was more Brown, as Lauren LaRochelle scored a pair of goals to seal the victory. For the game, Brown outshot NU 13-3, including 9-1 in the first half.
For NU, Kathleen Madaus went the whole way in net making seven saves, while Annie Owens made two saves in collecting the shutout.
The Huskies fall to 7-5 while Brown improves to 5-3. Northeastern next plays Friday night against league rival Hofstra at 7 p.m.
