Northeastern 4, Boston College 0

Aleisha Bemis BROOKLINE, MA — A stifling Northeastern defense kept the attack away from the Husky goal, and the offense took care off the rest, as 14th ranked NU defeated 15th ranked Boston College 4-0 at Parsons Field.

Junior Kelly Williams had two goals and two assists and sophomore Aleisha Bemis had three assists to lead the Huskies (5-2). NU outshot Boston College (5-3) 11-1 in the first half and went into the break with a 3-0 edge.

Williams got the scoring started on a penalty corner at 30:44, on assists from Bemis and Sarah Broderick. The Huskies added a second score at 18:22. Williams took the pass from Bemis on the penalty corner but instead of shooting, passed off to Catriona Semple who scored the goal. Sophomore Fior D'Alize Arrindell scored in her fourth straight game at 5:01 for the 3-0 lead. Williams added her second goal of the night at 31:24 of the second half for the final margin.

Junior goalie Kathleen Madaus made four saves for the Huskies in collecting her third shutout of the season. Madaus has allowed just two goals in her last six games. Jill Dedman made seven stops for the Eagles.

Northeastern returns to action this Friday night at home against league foe Delaware.
