Northeastern 3, Boston College 0

In their second match of the evening, the Northeastern Huskies were victorious 3-0 over crosstown rival Boston College.

In the first game of the match, the Eagles jumped out to a quick 6-1 lead before NU battled back to make it 11-11. The teams then exchanged several sideouts before NU finally won 15-13.

The second game also saw BC get out to an early 2-0 lead until NU reeled off seven straight points to make it 7-2. The Huskies eventually took the game 15-9.

In the third and final game of the evening, things went a little differently as NU jumped out to the early 5-0 lead. That lead hardly wavered throughout the rest of the game as NU sealed up the victory with a 15-9 win.

Junior Kristin Deatherage led the way for the Huskies as she recorded 15 kills and 15 digs. Sophomore Erin Spangler continued her excellent accuracy as she had 10 kills with a .500 hitting percentage.

The victory improved NU's record to 4-10 as BC fell to 3-10. The Huskies lost to another member of the Big East, Providence College, earlier in the evening by a score of 3-1.

Next up for the Huskies is the Harvard Invitational on Friday.
