TAMPA, FL - The Northeastern volleyball team lost its first match of the 2002 season to South Florida 3-0 on Thursday night. The Bulls defeated the Huskies 30-18, 30-14 and 30-24.
Larissa Adomat and Lindsay Wagner each led the Huskies offensively with seven kills apiece. Adomat also added a team-high four blocks, while "libero" Kelly Cognac tallied nine digs.
The Bulls of South Florida hit an impressive .319 as a team compared to NU's .109 hitting percentage.
Next up for Northeastern is the Central Florida Challenge on Saturday. NU faces Central Florida at 11 a.m. and then Stephen F. Austin at 3 p.m.
