Northeastern fell to conference foe Stony Brook Saturday night 3-2 (30-23, 17-30, 24-30, 30-28, 12-15) at Solomon Court. The Huskies fell to 22-8 on the season and 10-2 in America East play.
The Huskies were led by junior Rebecca Holland who finished the night with a double-double, 13 kills and 10 digs. Freshman Whitney Turner led the NU with 16 kills. Northeastern's offense was paced by senior setter Kristin Ursillo who had 43 assists.
Stony Brook was led by Rachel Goldsmith who finished the match with 18 kills and 12 digs. The offense was paced by Julie Zub who had 59 assists. The Sea Wolves improved to 16-12 on the season and 7-4 in conference play.
Next up for the Huskies is America East rival New Hampshire this Friday. NU will look to get back on the winning track, match time is 7 p.m.
