The Huskies continued their red-hot play and push towards the CAA Tournament with a 3-0 (30-19, 30-27, 30-14) win over UNC Wilmington Friday night at Solomon Court. Three Huskies had double-digit kills, led by freshman Caitlin Tittl's 15. The win is Northeastern's 10th in 13 matches, and improves their record to 16-12 overall, 8-3 in the CAA. The Huskies return to action tomorrow night at Solomon Court for Senior Night when captain Kira Batura is honored prior to the match against Georgia State.

Northeastern got off to a strong start, taking game one behind a .359 hitting percentage. Lauren DeTurk and Caitlin Tittl led the way with seven and six kills respectively. Both players hit for high percentages in the game as DeTurk hit .667 and Tittl hit .400.

Game two was the closest match of the night. The Huskies trailed by three points at 12-9, but fought back to take a 17-15 lead. The Seahawks were able to tie the score at 21, but a kill by Britney Brown began a stretch of three straight Northeastern points that was the eventual difference in the game.

In game three the Huskies hit .333 and cruised to the win, leading by as much as 11 points at 20-9.

Brown recorded a double-double for Northeastern, recording 11 kills and 15 assists, while Jessca Tkachuk led all players with 33 assists. DeTurk was the other Husky to record double-digits with 12 kills, while freshmen Jillian Robinson and Brianna Seitz each got in on the action with five kills.
