The Northeastern University volleyball team topped George Mason 3-1 (30-20, 19-30, 30-23, 30-24) to clinch second place in the CAA and a bye in the first round of the CAA Tournament.

The Huskies improve to 18-12 (10-3 CAA).

The Huskies were led by junior outside hitter Lauren DeTurk with 18 kills. She added 16 digs. Junior Brianna Seitz added 14 kills and freshman Britney Brown added 12.

Brown and junior Jessica Tkachuk each had 26 assists and Leah Neubeck had 17 digs in the match.

The Huskies finish the regular season Saturday at James Madison at 7 p.m.
