In Northeastern's home opener on Solomon Court, the Huskies easily defeated Sacred Heart Friday afternoon as part of the BC/NU Challenge, 30-11, 30-12, 30-21. Britney Brown and Sarah Stein each led the way with seven kills, while Brown added 16 assists and Jessica Tkachuk had 18. Northeastern's record improves 2-4 on the season.

While Stein and Brown led the way in kills, it was a balanced effort for the Huskies, as Kira Batura, Brianna Seitz, and Lauren DeTurk each had five kills.

As a team, Northeastern hit .368 for the match, while Brown hit an impressive .778 for the match and Batura hit .333.

Northeastern continues the BC/NU Challenge tonight at home when they take on Holy Cross at 7 p.m.
