The University at Albany defeated the Huskies Friday night 3-0 (24-30, 26-30, 20-30) at the Albany Classic in Albany, N.Y. Britney Brown led all Huskies with 12 kills, while Lauren DeTurk had 10. Albany's Amanda Cowdrey led all players with 17 kills. The Huskies return to the court Saturday afternoon against Eastern Michigan at 1 p.m.

Two Huskies recorded 19 assists, Brown and Jessica Tkachuk, while three players had double-digit digs; Leah Neubeck, Kira Batura, and Tkachuk.

Northeastern's best hitting percentage was .213 in the second game, while Albany hit .287 for the match and had nine blocks.
