The Huskies won their second straight CAA game, and third game overall with a 3-1 (30-26, 30-24, 26-30, 30-19) win over UNC Wilmington Sunday afternoon in Wilmington, N.C. Lauren DeTurk delivered 17 kills for the Huskies, whose record improves to 10-10 overall, and 2-1 in the CAA. Northeastern returns to action next Friday against James Madison at Solomon Court.

Caitlin Tittl hit .700 (8-10) in the first game as the Huskies took game one. Northeastern hit .301 in this game and came up with three blocks.

In game two, DeTurk led the way with seven kills and the Huskies hit .256 as a team, taking a 2-0 lead in the match.

UNC Wilmington took the third game, but Northeastern responded nicely in game four, jumping out to an 8-1 lead after a kill by DeTurk. Northeastern then used a 16-8 run to take a commanding 24-9 lead in the match. A kill by DeTurk with the score 29-19 gave Northeastern the game and match.

Jessica Tkachuk had 38 assists for Northeastern, which is a single season high for any Husky player this season. It is also the third straight game she's recorded at least 30 assists. Britney Brown had 25 assists, the sixth straight game she's had at least 20.

Leah Neubeck paced the Husky defense with 27 kills.
