Belmont University upended the Huskies Saturday morning 3-2, (30-24, 30-19, 20-30, 25-30, 7-15) in the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raider Bash. Belmont was able to take the victory have falling behind 2-0. Three Huskies had double figures in kills, Lauren DeTurk, Britney Brown, and Kira Batura. The Huskies return to the court tonight against Texas-Arlington at 8:30 p.m.

Things looked good for Northeastern early on as the Huskies jumped out to a seemingly comfortable 2-0 lead after taking the first two games. The Huskies hit an impressive .576 in the first game, en route to a 30-24 win. Northeastern took the second game behind four kills each from Brown and DeTurk.

In game three, Belmont got back into the match behind five kills from Emily Cahill, and in game four, won behind a .278 team hitting percentage. In game five, Northeastern fell behind early and was not able to come back.

Belmont's Cat Mundy led all players with 20 kills, while Brown and Jessica Tkachuk each led the Huskies with 27 assists.
