BOSTON – The Northeastern men's and women's track & field teams will send 46 student-athletes on the road this weekend for two meets in Lowell, Mass. and Williamsburg, Va. NU will have 13 athletes competing at the Colonial Relays, hosted by CAA rival William & Mary, while UMass Lowell hosts the remaining Huskies at the George Davis Invitational.

Competition in Williamsburg gets underway on Friday with Danielle Klein in the 3000-meter run. Klein is coming off a fifth place finish in the 5000-meter run last weekend with a personal best time of 18:08.34. Northeastern is also scheduled to compete in several sprint and distance events, including Eric Jenkins' first outdoor action of the season in the 1500-meter run, while Tejorn Davis, Kaylin Miranda and Nia Howard will all participate in their respective long jump events.

Saturday's meet in Lowell features 17 men's and 16 women's student-athletes, with competition beginning at 10 a.m. with Alexandra Rose in the women's hammer throw.

Last time out
Led by 14 top-five finishes, including victories in the hammer throw, 110-meter hurdles, pole vault and 4x100-meter relay, the Northeastern men's team finished first overall at the Tufts Snowflake Classic last weekend. Max Milder captured the victory in the hammer throw with an IC4A qualifying heave of 60.47-meters in a meet that saw the Huskies record 14 personal best marks.

Northeastern edged out the Jumbos for the team title with 110 points to Tufts' 104. Bridgewater St. (85.25), Harvard (56.50) and Brown (49) rounded out the top five.

On the women's side, sparked by individual victories in the pole vault, long jump and triple jump, NU finished third overall. Jillena Decarteret, Nia Howard and Georgia Pingue all recorded victories for NU, which saw 10 student-athletes record personal bests.

Milder earns CAA accolades
Northeastern track and field's Max Milder picked up the Huskies' second straight CAA accolade on Tuesday when the junior was named the CAA Men's Field Athlete of the Week.

Milder led the Huskies to a team championship at the Snowflake Classic last weekend at Tufts thanks to his first place finish in the hammer throw. His heave of 60.47-meters bested the field by nearly three meters and qualified the East Greenwich, R.I. native for both the IC4A and New England Championships later this season.

Milder's throw last weekend is currently the 13th best mark in the nation this season, and tops in the CAA.

Milder joins teammates Kaylin Miranda and Nia Howard, who earned male and female field athletes of the week last Tuesday.

NU unveils digital media guides
The Northeastern athletic department introduces the official 2012-13 digital media guide for the men's and women's cross country and track & field team. In an upgrade from previous media guides, this year's digital guides provide a user-friendly, easy-to-navigate format to access information for all 18 teams at Northeastern.

This season's digital media guides provide a glance into the student-athletes, coaches and history of each NU team, as well as a multitude of information on the University and the City of Boston. The guide also allows fans to learn more about a specific topic with a simple click of the mouse.

The road ahead
The Huskies will return to action next weekend when Northeastern travels to Amherst, Mass. for the Minuteman Invitational, beginning at 11:30 a.m.
