BOSTON - The Northeastern field hockey team will round out the regular season this weekend starting off with its final road match at Towson on Friday night followed by Senior Day Sunday at Dedham Field.

Northeastern will honor its three seniors, Kate Carlson, Zoe Kale, and Vanessa Pryor, prior to the match.

Husky fans are encouraged to hop on the shuttle in front of Chicken Lou's at 1 p.m. on Sunday to come cheer on the team in its final home game of the season.

PLAYOFF PICTURE
With a 1-3 record in the CAA, the Huskies have a shot at making the CAA tournament if they win out the weekend against Towson and #14 Delaware. As of Friday, Northeastern sits in fifth place with Drexel in fourth with a 2-2 conference record.

In order for Northeastern to earn a spot in the tournament, the Huskies would have to win both while Drexel would have to lose both with each team facing Towson and No. 14 Delaware over the course of the weekend. If Drexel wins one of its games, they earn the head-to-head tiebreaker with a 3-4 win over the Huskies back on Oct. 2 in the CAA opener.

THE COMPETITION

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Towson will round out its home season vs. Northeastern on Friday night.

The Tigers are led by Stacey Mackintosh and Morgan Skavdahl who have tallied three goals on the season. Towson has just eight players on their squad that have scored a goal, while nine different players have recorded a point on the year.

Towson has split time in goal this season between Megan Boyle and Emilee Woodall. Boyle has played 603 minutes allowing 30 goals and making 98 saves while in 523 minutes in goal Woodall has allowed 42 goals, making 91 saves.

THIS SEASON: Towson has won just two games this season against Lehigh (4-2) and Georgetown (2-1 OT). Entering its game with the Huskies the Tigers find themselves on a seven-game losing streak.

ALL-TIME SERIES: The Huskies lead the series 15-3 against the Tigers winning the last three games and five of the last six with Towson.

LAST TIME AGAINST THE TIGERS: Becky Garner recorded her fourth shutout of the season in a 3-0 victory over Towson last season at Dedham Field.

The Huskies allowed just two shots, the fewest shots against NU in all of 2014. In comparison, Northeastern blasted 27 shots, a 2014 single-game high.

Vanessa Pryor tallied two goals in the game.

SCOUTING THE BLUE HENS
Delaware started off the 2014 season on an eight-game win streak falling to No. 6 Duke 5-1 for its first loss of the year.

The Blue Hens' four losses on the year have come at the hands of ranked opponents (No. 19 JMU, 2-1 OT, No. 12 Liberty 6-2, No. 5 Virginia 3-2 OT, and Duke).

The Blue Hens, now 3-1 in CAA play, are led by Esmee Peet (11 goals, 3 assists), Michaela Patzner (8g, 7a), and Lisa Giezeman (10g, 2a) on the attack. Peet, Patzner, and Giezeman rank 7th, 8th and 10th respectively in the CAA points standing.

Emmeline Oltmans has played each and every minute in goal for the Blue Hens allowing 36 goals (2.09 GAA) and making 54 saves on the year.

THIS SEASON: The Blue Hens have been ranked for the majority of the season earning a 13-4 record before the final two regular season games. The team has been ranked as high as 12th during the weekend of Sept. 25 & 27.

The only CAA loss this season has come against fellow ranked CAA opponent James Madison. The team has faced seven ranked teams this season.

ALL-TIME SERIES: The Huskies lead the series between the two teams 17-8  but Delaware has won the last three meetings against Northeastern.

LAST TIME AGAINST THE BLUE HENS: The Huskies fell 3-2 in a match that was decided in the final five minutes of play by a Patzner goal.

The loss was the first road loss of the season for Northeastern.

LAST TIME OUT
Northeastern had just one game last week taking on Hofstra at Dedham Field.

The Pride jumped out to a quick 1-0 lead and added on a couple of goals throughout the course of the game to earn the victory.

CENTURY MARK
For the second time in her career, junior goalkeeper Becky Garner has hit the century mark in saves. Garner stands at 110 saves on the season with two regular season games remaining.

The 110 saves lead the conference and ranks 10th nationally. Garner's career high, set during her freshman season, is 111 saves.

This season the junior has faced 256 shots in 1,116 minutes of action in goal.

GETTING IN HER SWINGS
Redshirt senior Kate Carlson may be listed as a back on the roster, but she leads the Huskies with 43 shots this season, eighth in the CAA.

Carlson has been afforded as many shots, as she is the go to on penalty corner opportunities. The Huskies rank fifth in the CAA in penalty corner opportunities in 2015 with 94.

SEASON OF FIRSTS
Many Huskies have tallied career firsts this season. Of the nine Northeastern players that have recorded a goal, six of them did so for the first time in 2015.
