A SEASON TO REMEMBER
The 2016 season is truly one for the record books. After finishing 2015 6-25 and 3-13 in the CAA, the Huskies were picked to finish eighth in the conference in the coaches' preseason poll. Northeastern used the underestimation as fuel to dominate the conference all season long, ranking in the top spot for most of CAA play. The Huskies close out the season at 20-11 and 10-6 in the CAA, their best records in four years. CAA Coach of the Year
Ken Nichols notched his sixth 20+ win season at the helm and guided the team to the CAA Tournament for the first time since 2013. Additionally, Northeastern earned seven post-season awards, the most of any team in the conference. Senior
Jamie Bredahl became the first player in program history to tally over 1,000 digs, kills and assists in her career. Since RPI rankings were released in early October, Northeastern has held the top RPI turnaround in the NCAA and has also had one of the highest win turnarounds in the NCAA (+14).
