DEDHAM, Mass. – The Northeastern field hockey team will square off against a pair of Boston opponents this weekend beginning on Friday, Sept. 16 with a game at Harvard at 6 p.m.
 
The Huskies will round out the weekend on Sunday with a 2 p.m. meeting with Boston College at Dedham Field on Sunday. Sunday's game will honor 
Pediatric Cancer Awareness as Northeastern will wear gold laces as a part of Go4theGoal Foundation's Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer initiative.
 
In addition, for fans who would like to attend the game, there will be free shuttles at 1 and 1:30 p.m. from Chicken Lou's. The first 200 fans in attendance will receive Northeastern field hockey tumbler cups.
 
LAST TIME OUT...
• The Huskies had just one game last weekend, a Friday night contest against Providence in Northeastern's home opener at Dedham Field
• Northeastern made the most it, defeating the Friars 1-0 in double OT, its first multiple overtime game since a 3-2 victory over BC on Oct. 5, 2014
• 
Becky Garner recorded her second shutout of the season while 
June Curry-Lindahl notched the game-winning goal 86:03 into the game
 
NORTHEASTERN VS. 
 
HARVARD
• Harvard is off to a 2-2 record this season falling to No. 4 UConn (4-0) and New Hampshire (2-1) but defeating University of the Pacific and Holy Cross
• The Crimson are led by Marissa Balleza and Hannah Wellington who each have two goals on the season, two different Harvard players have notched an assist on the year
• Harvard and Northeastern have met 35 times in the past, in all but one (1981) of the seasons in Northeastern history
• Northeastern holds a 23-12 advantage over the Crimson trading 1-0 victories over the last three seasons
• Northeastern has won its last three meetings in Cambridge
 
#18 BOSTON COLLEGE
• Boston College is off to a 2-3 start to the season and have faced off against four ranked teams in their five games falling to No. 1 Syracuse (3-1), No. 6 Maryland (3-1) and No. 16 Northwestern (2-1)
• Prior to meeting with the Huskies on Monday, the Eagles will play host to No. 3 North Carolina on Friday night
• The Huskies lead the series with the Eagles 23-14-1 and have met each and every season, except for the 1982 season
• BC, ranked 11th in the country when the Huskies faced them early last season in Chestnut Hill, defeated Northeastern 6-1
• The Eagles have won three of the last four meetings between the two teams

Becky Garner moved into third place on the NU all-time saves list (since 1989) with seven saves against PC. She currently has 25 this season

LEADING THE LEAGUE
• Heading into her final season at Northeastern, 
Becky Garner is currenly leading the CAA in Goals Against Average allowing just over one goal (1.28) each game, that mark also ranks 15th in the country
• Garner has also notched two shutouts on the year, (3-0 over UC Davis, 1-0 over Providence) marking her most shutouts since tallying five in NU's 2014 CAA regular season Champion campaign
• The Huskies have also drawn over a handful of penalty corners in each of their games this season averaging six a game to rank first in the conference and 36th nationally.
 
HOME SWEET HOME
• After beginning the 2016 season with four straight road games that took them 6,624 miles and across the country, the Huskies hosted their first game, a 1-0 victory over Providence last Friday
• The Huskies went 2-2 over the course of their season opening road trip
• Last season, the Huskies won just one game at home, they have already tied that with the victory over Providence

• Northeastern head coach 
Cheryl Murtagh is in her 29th season at the helm of the Huskies
• Over her 31 year coaching career, Murtagh has accumulated 394 career victories, 377 at Northeastern, 16th most among Division I head coaches and 13th most among active DI coaches
• Murtach has also notched 127 career conference games during her tenure and helped Northeastern to 16 NCAA Tournaments
