HARRISONBURG, Va. – For the second straight game, the Northeastern field hockey team was unable to get on the board as this time No. 16 James Madison stifled the Huskies 4-0 in Northeastern's final road game of the season.

Jamie Bartucca led the Huskies with four shots in the game, two of which came on goal, but was unable to find the back of the net in the game.

Miranda Rigg had a pair of goals for the Dukes, who improved to 9-5 and 2-1 in conference action overtaking Northeastern (7-9, 2-2) for third place in the CAA standings.

Julia Gluyas allowed all four goals on the day, also making five saves in 70 minutes of action while Sara Kraeutler, back in goal after missing a few games, earned the shut out while making three saves.

FIRST HALF
James Madison 1-0: After a long pass up the right sideline of the field started by the JMU defense, Rigg gathered in the pass, and using one hand flipped the ball up past a Husky defender, gathered in her self pass and fired a shot past Gluyas for the lead in the 16th minute.

SECOND HALF
James Madison 2-0: Lisa Lejeune made it a 2-0 game in the 40
th minute. Coming off of JMU's fifth corner of the game, Gluyas was able to make the initial save using her blockers but Lejeune corralled the rebound and spun it past Gluyas just inside the left post of the goal for the two-goal lead.

James Madison 3-0: Melanie Kusakavitch made it a 3-0 game taking the ball up the field on her own and into the scoring circle. After Gluyas made the initial save, Kusakavitch corralled the rebound and trickled the ball past a splayed out Gluyas for the goal.

James Madison 4-0: Rigg earned the multi-goal game with her second score of the day to make it a 4-goal advantage in favor of the Dukes in the 63
rd minute. After Ashley Gippe streaked up the field and into the scoring circle, she crossed a pass in front of the goal to an awaiting Rigg who sent it in.

UP NEXT
The Huskies will close out the regular season with three-straight home games beginning on Sunday, October 22 against No. 19 Saint Joseph's at 1 p.m. on Dedham Field. The game will be the final non-conference game of the season for Northeastern as the team will Play for the Cure in honor of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Sunday afternoon.

The Huskies regular season will then round out the next weekend against Drexel on Friday at 6 p.m. followed by the regular season final against the defending National Champions in No. 11 Delaware on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 2 p.m. Â
