Promotions     • Fans can catch a ride to the game beginning at 4 p.m. from Chicken Lou's with shuttles leaving every half an hour up until the start of the game
• Prior to the start of the game, all students are welcome to participate in the Welcome Back BBQ at Dedham Field
• Northeastern knit hats will also be given away while supplies last!

 
BOSTON – The longstanding rivalry between Northeastern field hockey and Boston University will continue on Monday night at Dedham Field when the two teams square off at 6 p.m.
 
The two schools have met 47 times in the past, the most of any Husky opponent in program history, and have faced each other in every season since Northeastern's varsity program began in 1980.
 
LAST TIME OUT
• The Huskies started Friday night off with a bang with an 8-1 victory over Hofstra
• The eight Husky goals were the most ever scored in a CAA conference game and the seven-goal margin of victory tied the largest by a Husky squad in a CAA game (W, 7-0 vs. Drexel, Oct. 6, 2006)
• June Curry-Lindahl and Lauran MacLachlan each had 2 goals and an assist while Jamie Bartucca finished with a goal and three assists on the night
 
NORTHEASTERN VS.
 
#25 BOSTON UNIVERSITY
• The Terriers enter the game with a 6-6 record falling 5-1 to No. 2 Duke last Sunday while earning a 2-1 win over No. 24 American on Friday
• Alisa Connolly leads the Terriers with seven goals on the season while Millie Baker (2-3) and Kathleen Keegan (5-2) have split time in the net this year combining for a 2.00 GAA
• BU and Northeastern have met 47 times in the past, the most of any Husky opponent in program history and have met every single season since the program began in 1980
• The Huskies lead the series 26-21 though BU has gotten the best of NU the last two times out with a pair of one-goal overtime victories
 
UPCOMING PROMOTIONS
• When the Northeastern field hockey team takes on Boston University on Monday night at 6 p.m. at Dedham Field fans can catch a ride to the game beginning at 4 p.m. from Chicken Lou's with shuttles leaving every half an hour up until the start of the game

• Other promotional days coming up for the Huskies include
                  • Sunday, Oct. 15 vs. Princeton – Canine Companion Day where you can bring your dogs to Dedham Field and enjoy some field hockey. Northeastern bandanas and treats will provided for all pups in attendance
                  • Sunday, Oct. 22 vs. St. Joseph's – Play for the Cure game. The Huskies will play for the cure on Oct. 22 to support pancreatic cancer awareness. Donations will be accepted at the game and we ask that all fans wear purple!
                  • Sunday, Oct. 29 vs. Delaware – Senior Day and Community Day at Dedham Field. Shuttles will depart Chicken Lou's at 12:30 p.m. as the Huskies will honor their three seniors prior to the game while all members of the Dedham community are invited to join the Huskies in their final regular season home game
 
TO BE THE BEST…
• BU marks the third ranked program that the Huskies will face this season
• Monday's meeting marks the fourth straight year the Huskies have faced a ranked BU
• Eight teams Northeastern have faced or will face this season are currently ranked in the NFHCA Coaches Poll
• Beginning with BU, the Huskies are set to take on six ranked teams in seven contests finishing up against the reigning national champions and No. 8 ranked Delaware
• Northeastern is looking for its first win over a ranked team since a 3-2 victory over No. 8 Boston College on Oct. 5, 2014
 
NORTHEASTERN VS. BOSTON
• This weekend, NU will face its second of three Boston schools in Boston University
• The Huskies and Boston area schools have had a long and storied rivalry dating back to the Huskies' first season as a varsity program in 1980
• NU holds a 73-49-1 record over its Boston area foes
