BOSTON – The Northeastern field hockey team will begin its time at the CAA Tournament against No. 8 Delaware in a rematch of the regular season finale on November 3 at 3 p.m.

This time the game will be on Delaware's home turf as the Blue Hens earned hosting rights after a 6-0 conference finish in 2017. It marks the second straight season the Blue Hens have gone undefeated in conference play while Delaware has won four-straight CAA titles.

The Huskies return to the tournament for the first time since 2014 after finishing the regular season with a 3-3 conference record, including a historical 8-1 victory over Hofstra, notching the most goals Northeastern has ever scored in a CAA game.

LAST TIME OUT
• Last weekend, the Huskies clinched a spot in the CAA Tournament with a 3-0 victory over Drexel Friday night, their first shutout of the 2017 season
• On Sunday, the Huskies hosted senior day, honoring the three seniors and head coach
Cheryl Murtagh who coached in the final home game of her career
• Though the Huskies fell 5-1 to Delaware on Sunday, they also did something only three other teams, all ranked, were able to do this season -- force Emmeline Oltmans to make 5 saves on the day (#9 Louisville (5), #2 Penn State (8), and #1 UConn (5))

• After a 5-1 setback last Sunday, the Huskies will rematch the Blue Hens in the quarterfinals of the CAA Tournament this week
• The Huskies and Delaware have met just once in the CAA Tournament, a 5-1 victory for the Blue Hens in 2013
• They have also met two times in the America East tournament, both victories for theHuskies 4-1 in 2001 and 2-1 in 1998
• The Blue Hens are led by Greta Nauck who has 21 goals and 5 assists for 47 points while Taylor Lister has seven goals and 18 assists on the year
• In goal, Emmeline Oltmans has played the majority of time making 47 saves & a 1.75 GAA
• Delaware and Northeastern have faced off 28 times in the past with the Huskies holding on to a 17-11 series lead, though Delaware has won the last six meetings

•This is the sixth time the Huskies have faced a team in final regular season game of the year and then again in the first round of the conference tournament
• This is also the first time this is happening since the Huskies joined the CAA prior to the 2005 season
• The Huskies and Delaware have met in this situation one time previously during the 1998 season
• Northeastern has come away with the victory in the tournament in the previous five meetings
