HANOVER, N.H.
– Led by a pair of goals from Camille O'Conor, the Northeastern field hockey team picked up its 11th-straight victory over Dartmouth, and fourth-straight overall victory, Sunday afternoon at Chase Field, taking down the Big Green 5-1.

The Huskies' win-streak over Dartmouth dates all the way back to the 1988 season, while Northeastern improves to 2-1 against Ivy League foes in 2018.

O'Conor's scoring spanned both halves as she netted the ultimate game-winner with the Huskies' second goal of the game in the 20th minute of action, and then added an insurance goal in the 52nd minute of play for her third career multi-goal game and second this season.

The Huskies started the game off strong and got on the board first when Rachel Campbell tallied her fourth goal of the season in the 10th minute of action. Campbell moved her way around the top of the circle before sending a strong shot on net for the score.

O'Conor added to the lead, after taking Ffion Thompson's initial contact and redirecting it in for the two-goal advantage. Before the half was over, Kellie Stigas took an initial rejection, regained control, and tried again to add her second goal of the year on a long goal from the top of the circle to make it a 3-0 advantage in favor of the Huskies after 35 minutes of action.

In the second half, O'Conor added her second goal of the game ending a long run up the field with a little flick into the back corner of the net to make it a 4-0 advantage in favor of the Huskies in the 52nd minute of action. But a couple minutes later, Dartmouth got their first goal of the day erasing the shutout bid.

June Curry-Lindahl added her ninth goal of the year, taking a long pass, dribbling into the circle and backhanding a hard shot past the Dartmouth goalie to make it a 5-1 advantage Huskies.

Northeastern finally returns home for their final home weekend of the 2018 campaign, next weekend when they will face their final non-conference opponent of the year in UMass on Friday night at 6 p.m. The team will wrap up home action, and honor all of the contributions from the senior class, on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. against James Madison. Be sure to get there early to watch our senior festivities!
