DEDHAM, Mass. – Antonet Louw netted all five UMass goals and helped lead the Minutewomen's comeback over the Northeastern field hockey team on Friday night in a thrilling double overtime game at Dedham Field.

After the Huskies got out to a 4-0 lead early in the second half, Louw kickstarted the UMass comeback scoring four-unanswered goals to force overtime, and capped the game off with her fifth goal of the night to help the Minutewomen to the 5-4 victory.

The Huskies netted all four goals against starting goalkeeper Johanna von dem Borne, who was pulled for Megan Davies in the 44th minute. Davies stifled the Husky offense, making seven saves and shutting out Northeastern for the final 44:33 of action.

On the other side of the field, Julia Gluyas, who recorded 10 saves against UMass earlier this season, made another nine tonight against the Minutewomen.

The Huskies got on board first when Rachel Campbell rocketed in a penalty corner shot aided by Meg Barrett and June Curry-Lindahl for her fifth goal of the season in the eighth minute of action.

Angela Connolly made it a two-goal lead for the Huskies when she batted down a shot that went off of the crossbar knocking it past the UMass goalie and into the net for her second goal of the season and Northeastern's second goal of the game in the 17th minute.

The Huskies quickly made it a four-goal game as Laura MacLachlan knocked down a high pass and ripped a shot from point blank range into the net for her third goal of the season and the Huskies' third goal of the game just 50 seconds into the second half.

Just a few minutes later Curry-Lindahl netted her 10th goal of the season to put the Huskies up 4-0 over the Minutewoman.

UMass stormed back following the Curry-Lindahl goal, and Antonet Louw, who scored both goals against the Huskies earlier this season, rallied off four-unanswered goals to tie the ballgame with less than three minute to go in regulation and force overtime.

It looked as though Camille O'Conor had netted the gamewinner in the first overtime period but the shot was called off late and both teams headed to double OT after a scoreless 10 minutes. With nearly 90 seconds left in double overtime, Louw capped off the comeback with her fifth goal of the game and 20th goal of the season on a high shot off of a penalty corner for the win.

The Huskies will round out their home season, and honor all of the contributions from the senior class, on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. against James Madison. Be sure to get there early to watch our senior festivities!
