BOSTON – For just the second time in program history, the Northeastern field hockey team will face off against Bryant, this time closer to their home turf when the two teams meet on the campus of Brown University Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m.
Last year against Bryant, the Huskies defeated Bryant 8-1, the largest victory over an opponent since the 2006 season, and in doing so, helped Cheryl Murtagh to her 400
th career victory.
THREE THINGS TO KNOW:
- What happened the last time out you ask?
- The Huskies had just one game last weekend, but they made the most of it with a 5-2 victory over Hofstra to improve to 2-1 in conference play
- After the Pride got out to a 1-0 lead, the Huskies evened the score with a Kellie Stigas goal
- Hofstra went up 2-1, and Laura MacLachlan once again tied things up, to head to halftme at two-all
- Northeastern shut out the Pride in the second half and netted three unanswered goals (Camille O'Conor, Jamie Chebuske, Lexie Dunleavy) in the second half to come away with their second-straight 5-2 CAA victory
