Box Score 2 Vermillion, S.D. – Northeastern (2-3) lost both decisions at the South Dakota Classic, 3-0. South Dakota (3-1) and Northern Colorado (2-3) swept the Huskies on Friday afternoon.

The Howlin' Huskies took a small early lead in the first over the Coyotes that they kept until a six-point run by South Dakota to tie the teams at 17. Regardless of the Huskies' 17 kills over the Coyotes' 13, they dropped the first set, 25-21.

The Yotes use their first set momentum to take the lead in the second and eventually run away with it. South Dakota won set two, 25-15.

In the third set, the Coyotes pull ahead early and the Huskies trailed by as much as eight. However, a mid-set run tie the two teams at 16. NU can not quite take the lead, and the Coyotes win the set, 25-18.
NORTHEASTERN VS. NORTHERN COLORADO

The Bears took an early lead in the first set that the Huskies were never able to regain, resulting in a, 25-18 loss.

Northern Colorado continued their momentum, leading the entire second set and eventually taking it, 25-14.

Finally, the Howlin' Huskies dropped the final set to the Bears, 25-12.
