In contrast to set one, the Howlin' Huskies didn't start with an early lead in the second set. However, a 4-1 run tied NU and BC, eight points apiece. The Huskies kept it neck-and-neck throughout the set, with seven lead changes. Three kills by Tschannen and two kills by Ardila, consecutively, give NU the 25-21 advantage.

The third set proved to be another close matchup between these two teams. They kept it close throughout the first half of the set. Two consecutive aces by Sherrie Wang put the Huskies at a one point advantage over the Eagles, 15-14. Close competition continued throughout the remainder of the set, with BC eventually taking a late lead, 25-23 to force a fourth set.

An early, 7-4 lead by NU forced the Eagles to take an early timeout to reevaluate. However, upon returning the Huskies went on a 4-1 run to extend their lead over the Eagles. The momentum continued for the remainder of set four to an eventual 25-16 set win giving the Huskies their first match win of the New England Challenge.
