DEDHAM, Mass. – The Northeastern field hockey team took William & Mary to extra time, but were unable to come away with the game-winning goal as the Tribe earned a 3-2 victory in the 74^th minute of action Friday night at Dedham Field.
 
Lexie Dunleavy picked up her first collegiate goal, while June Curry-Lindahl added her sixth score of the season in the game, but it wasn't enough as the Tribe registered three-straight unanswered goals for the victory.
 
The Huskies got on top first in the 20^th minute of action when freshman Dunleavy netted her first career goal reeling in a hard pass from Kellie Stigas and swinging it into the net for the score. Just a couple minutes later Northeastern added to the score when Curry-Lindahl used some of her fancy stick work to put in her sixth goal of the season and break the game open 2-0.
 
William & Mary got a goal back with less than a minute remaining before halftime, but the Huskies headed into the break with a 2-1 lead.
 
The Tribe evened the score just over three minutes into the second half, where it remained after 70 minutes of action, forcing the Huskies second overtime game of the season.
 
Just under four minutes into extra time, Cara Menges snuck past Julia Gluyas and tapped in the game winner to give the Tribe the 3-2 victory.
 
The Huskies are back in action on Sunday afternoon when they wrap up their five-game homestand against Towson on Alumni Day at Dedham Field. The Dogs and Tigers will square off at 1 p.m. in a game that can also be found on NESNplus.
