BOSTON – Northeastern volleyball (9-7, 2-1) served William & Mary (4-7, 0-2) a 3-1 loss at home on Friday evening, raising the Huskies to .667 in CAA play for 2018.

Freshman
Hannah Boyd paced the Huskies offense, tabbing 18 kills and 42 total attacks. Boyd registered a .400 hitting percentage in the first two sets.

Samantha Shupe led NU with 35 sets, bringing her season total to 600 while
Gabrielle Eyl played defender with 23 digs.

Set one looked positive for the Howlin' Huskies early as they took a 6-1 lead fueled by a
Gabrielle Tschannen ace, but the Tribe pulled ahead late to take lead of the match, 25-20.

The Huskies came back in the second and third sets ready to fight, with Boyd registering eleven kills across two sets to pace NU's offense and give them a 25-13 and 25-18 wins.

The fourth set proved more difficult for the Huskies as the Tribe stayed within arm's length for the entirety of play; however, NU pulled out a slight, 25-22 victory to take the match.
