BOSTON -- Northeastern (2-4) is heading to Fairfield, Conn. on Friday to compete at the 2018 Fairfield Invitational against Big Ten opponent, Michigan State (5-1), Central Connecticut (2-5) and Fairfield (1-5).

The Huskies so far in 2018:
• The Howlin' Huskies have secured two wins this season, both occurring at the North Texas Invitational. They swept Grambling State, 3-0 in their first game, and stole a 5 set match against Nicholls State.
• Northeastern traveled to the South Dakota Classic last weekend where they dropped three matches against South Dakota, Northern Colorado and California.

Boyd's Hot Start:
• In her first collegiate tournament at North Texas,
Hannah Boyd led the Huskies with 35 kills and 42.0 points.
• Against Grambling State, Boyd tabbed a .375 hitting percentage -- her highest of the season.
• Boyd ranks top five among her teammates in attacks, digs and serves for 2018.

• The Huskies have not played Michigan State since 2000 where the Spartans won, 0-3.
