BOSTON – The Northeastern field hockey team (4-12, 3-2 CAA) will host Towson (4-12, 0-5 CAA) and No. 20 UMass Amherst (12-4, 5-1 A10) for the final weekend of the regular season at Dedham Field.
The meeting with the Tigers will be Friday, Oct. 28 at 4 p.m., streaming on FloLive. The matchup with the Minutewomen will be on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 12 p.m., and will be broadcast on NESN+.
Three Things to Know:
- Clinched: After posting a 3-2 record in the CAA so far and earning a 1-0 road win over Drexel this past Sunday, the Huskies clinched their spot in the CAA tournament for the fifth consecutive season.
- Two in the Top Five: Freshman Emmy Stubbs (10 goals) and junior Mak Graves (nine goals) rank third and fourth in the CAA, respectively.
- Tale of the Tape: The Huskies own a 21-3 record over Towson all-time including a 9-1 record in the last 10 meetings. Against the Minutewomen, Northeastern trails the all-time series 17-23-3, with the last Huskies victory coming in 2014. The last time Northeastern picked up a win at home against UMass was in 2006.
Northeastern will be back in action when they travel to Newark, Del., Nov. 4, with the time and opponent TBD.
