Alex Mega has been named the CAA Rookie of the Week after her performance in Northeastern's historic 2-1 win over Delaware Friday, Oct. 6, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
- In a deadlocked game, Mega lifted a backhand shot into the upper left corner of the goal to give the Huskies a 2-1 lead in the 49th minute.
- That goal sealed both an important CAA win for the Huskies and a historic one, as they held off the Blue Hens to defeat them for the first time since 2012.
- Mega's goal was her fourth in a row and brought her to seven on the year. That mark is tied for best on the Huskies with graduate student Lauren Rowe, fourth in the CAA and first among CAA freshmen.
Mega and the Huskies look to win their third-straight CAA contest this Friday, Oct. 13 at 4 p.m. as they travel to take on Monmouth in West Long Branch, N.J. The matchup will be streamed on FloSports.
