GENEVA, N.Y. – The Northeastern field hockey program had 10 athletes get honored the NFCHA Division I National Academic Squad, the organization announced today.
The NFCHA National Academic Squad program recognizes athletes that achieved a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher during the current academic year.
The Huskies had two honorees with their fourth consecutive honor in seniors
Cailin Hart and
Lauren Rowe. Northeastern also had a three-year recipient with junior
Sydney Rusnock.
The other seven honorees include
Kate Blaisdell (two-year recipient),
Sarah Coyle,
Lauren Eves,
Kristina Merashoff,
Ashley Pappas,
Maya Prasad and
Lara Taylor (two-year recipient).
There are still three Division I academic awards to be announced – the NFHCA Scholars of Distinction (Feb. 16), the NFHCA National Academic Team (Feb. 21) and the National Scholar Athlete (Feb. 22).
