RICHMOND, Va. — Junior midfielder
Maria Armaganian picked up a CAA Player of the Week award for her performance against Brown Friday, Sept. 8, the CAA announced Monday afternoon.
- This is Armaganian's first time winning the award.
- Armaganian scored a go-ahead goal off a penalty stroke just 3:07 into the second half, making it 2-1 Huskies in Friday night's contest.
- She then assisted on the game-winning goal, scored by freshman Alex Mega, to lead the Huskies to their fourth-straight win and the best start to a season since 2012.
- The goal was her first of this season and the assist was her third, helping the Huskies to lead the NCAA in assists per game with 5.50.
- The Concord, N.H. native anchored the midfield and defensive line, playing all 60 minutes in the contest and is now on a three-game points streak.
Armaganian and the Huskies will look to extend their winning streak to five in a row as they hit the road and travel to UMass Lowell Friday at 3 p.m. The game can be streamed on ESPN+.
