Rowe Earns Second CAA Offensive Player Of The Week

RICHMOND, Va. – After another dominant weekend and writing herself further into the Northeastern field hockey record books, graduate student captain Lauren Rowe was named CAA Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight week, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

  • Rowe rolled into the weekend fresh off a CAA Co-Offensive Player of the Week award in which she recorded eight points and a hit trick against UMass Lowell.
  • In Friday's CAA contest against William & Mary, Rowe collected three points after scoring the Huskies' second goal and assisting the third in a 4-1 victory at Dedham Field.
  • On Sunday, the Norwich, England native added another three points to her stat line, scoring the opening goal and assisting Northeastern's second in a 3-2 victory over New Hampshire on the road.
  • Rowe's assist on Sunday was the 38th of her career, putting her fifth all-time in career assists in Northeastern field hockey history.
  • Her six points over the weekend rank her first in the CAA in points with 21. Rowe is also first in the conference in shots (57) and shots on goal (30), tied for first in goals (8) with fellow Husky Emmy Stubbs, and tied for second in assists (5).

Rowe and the Huskies return to action for their Mental Health Awareness Game against Towson on Friday, Oct. 11. The game will start at 3 p.m. and will be streamed on NESN and FloSports.
