Hassick To Be Inducted Into USA Field Hockey Hall Of Fame

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Northeastern alumna Amy Hassick is set to be inducted into the USA Field Hockey Hall of Fame on May 24, 2024, the organization announced Friday.

Hassick was a third-team All-American in 1993, was named to the All-Northeast Region First Team in the same year and made two All-Conference teams in 1993 and 1994. The former Husky also joined Cheryl Murtagh's coaching staff in 2000 for a season. She is the lone official being inducted into the Hall of Fame. 

The Pennsylvania native began her officiating career in 2002 and moved up to officiating at the collegiate level, being selected for 10 NCAA Division I Final Fours between 2008 and 2018. Hassick also took to international competition, refereeing at the 2010 and 2014 World Cups, the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games as well as multiple Four Nations Tournaments, FIH Hockey World League games, Champions Trophies, World Cup Qualifiers, Olympic Qualifiers.

Hassick retired from officiating in 2018.
