RICHMOND, Va.— Freshman
Jessica Garden of the Northeastern women's field hockey team claimed weekly honors from the CAA as announced on Monday. Garden was named the Rookie of the Week.
The Scotland native was key to Northeastern locking a 2-1 victory over CAA foe Hofstra. Garden gave the Huskies the lead in the opening minute of the third quarter on an individual effort before burying her third goal of the season past Hofstra to give the Huskies a 2-1 lead.
In the second game of the weekend, Garden added an assist to contribute to the 3-2 win over Quinnipiac.
Garden and the Huskies are back in action at home on Friday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m to face the Drexel Dragons.
