BOSTON — The Northeastern Huskies field hockey program is proud to announce that junior forward Emilia Adragna has been named the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Offensive Player of the Week for her outstanding play this past weekend.
Adragna delivered back-to-back standout performances that helped the Huskies capture two important victories. On Friday, October 24 at Dedham Field, Northeastern posted a 1-0 win over the Drexel Dragons in the Huskies' final CAA home game of the season. Adragna provided the game's only goal: after her initial attempt was saved, she followed up on the rebound at 23:32 to put the Huskies ahead.
The Germany native was also key in the Sunday match where Northeastern defeated the Boston University Terriers 3-1 on senior day. Adragna struck early and often: she opened the scoring on a penalty‐corner rocket and later added a second goal just two minutes after the Huskies' second tally.
Across the two games, Adragna accumulated three goals, including two in one contest, providing the offensive spark that carried Northeastern in each case.
The Huskies look to play their final weekend of regular season games this Friday, Oct. 31 against Monmouth and Sunday, Nov. 2 against Maryland
