Huskies Travel South to Face No. 12 Monmouth, No.11 Maryland

BOSTON—The Northeastern Huskies field hockey team (9-6, 3-1 CAA) will travel south for their final weekend of regular season play to face No.12 Monmouth (11-3, 4-0 CAA) on Friday, Oct. 31, followed by a visit to No.11 Maryland (9-6, 5-3 Big Ten) on Sunday, Nov. 2. Fridays math will be streamed on FloCollege and Sunday's will be on Big Ten Network.

1. CONFERENCE COMPETITION: The Huskies begin their final road trip with a stop at Monmouth University. The fellow CAA competitor holds an unbeaten record in conference play. As of now, Monmouth sits at first place in the conference, and Northeastern sits at second. As for the all time series record, the Huskies hold the series win with one game as the record sits at 5-4-0. 

2. MARYLAND MADNESS: The second and final stop of the trip is at College Park. The Huskies face the Terrapins in their last game of the regular season. Both teams hold a 9-6 record on their individual seasons, but their overall all-time series is held by Maryland at 7-3-3. 

3. POSTSEASON PLAY: This past weekend, the Huskies officially clinched a spot in the CAA Championship Tournament. The Huskies will return to Monmouth, the host of the tournament, on Friday, Nov. 7 to face a fellow conference member.
