The Northeastern volleyball team went on the road this weekend, and came away with a 3-1 (34-36, 30-21, 30-20, 30-23) victory over George Mason Friday, Oct. 14 in Fairfax, Va. Lauren DeTurk (13), Brandie Genibrel (12) and Ashley Reeves (10) resgistered double-digit kills for Northeastern. NU is now 9-10 and 6-4 in Colonial Athletic Association play.

Kira Batura registered 15 digs for Northeastern, while Genibrel added 12. The Huskies got five blocks from Ashley Reeves and a pair of aces from DeTurk. Northeastern outhit George Mason .313 to .154 in the match.

The Patriots were led by Niki Bernardes' 18 kills and Jaqueline Kohler's 15. Zulma Rojas made 22 digs, while Sarah Hipps passed out 48 assists.

The Huskies are back in action Saturday, Oct. 15 against James Madison. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. in Harrisonburg, Va.
