The volleyball team got back on the winning track with a 3-1 (30-26, 30-27, 27-30, 30-23) win over William & Mary Friday night in Williamsburg, Va. Kira Batura and Lauren DeTurk both had a game high 20 kills, while Caitlin Tittl had 16. The win improves Northeastern's record in the CAA to 6-3, and 14-12 overall. The Huskies return to the court tomorrow when they take on Virginia Commonwealth at 5 p.m., in Richmond, Va.

William & Mary came into tonight's game alone in second place, one game behind first place Delaware, while the Huskies were in a four-way tie for third place. With the win, the Huskies will have at least a share of second place.

Northeastern came out strong, taking game one behind a .220 hitting percentage. In game two, the Huskies took a commanding 2-0 lead in the match behind a .260 hitting percentage. In that game, Batura led the way with six kills, while DeTurk chipped in five and freshman Britney Brown added four kills and 11 assists.

After dropping game three, Northeastern used several runs to take game four. Leading 5-4, the Huskies went on an 11-6 run to take a 16-10 lead. The Pride cut the deficit to 18-13, but Northeastern promptly scored the game's next four points to extend the lead to 22-13, too much for William & Mary to overcome.

Brown led all Huskies with 35 assists, while Jessica Tkachuk had 27 helpers. Batura and Leah Neubeck paced the Northeastern defense with 29 and 26 digs respectively.
