The Huskies rallied from an 0-2 deficit, but couldn't complete the comeback, losing a 3-2 (24-30, 22-30, 30-21, 30-22, 11-15) decision to George Mason Sunday afternoon at Solomon Court. The loss halts Northeastern's four match winning streak. Kira Batura led all Huskies with 21 kills. Northeastern returns to action next Friday at Solomon Court against Towson.

After dropping the first two games, Northeastern began a furious rally, taking game three 30-21. The Huskies hit .317 as a team, their highest percentage of the match. Batura delivered eight kills in the game as the Huskies extended the match.

Northeastern led the entire way of game four, jumping out to an 8-4 lead. George Mason got to within 15-11, but following a George Mason error, Northeastern began a 11-7 run that gave Northeastern a 27-18 lead, their largest of the game. Two errors by the Patriots sandwiched between a Lauren DeTurk kill gave the Huskies the game.

In game five, George Mason jumped out to a 4-1 lead, and were aided by seven Northeastern errors en route to taking the game and the match.

DeTurk provided 19 kills for the Huskies, while Caitlin Tittl had 10. Jessica Tkachuk had 37 assists, just one short of her season high. Britney Brown had 26 assists, while Leah Neubeck paced the Husky defense with 28 digs.
