Boston College swept the Huskies Thursday afternoon, two days after Northeastern picked up its first win of the season. The Eagles, a member of the ACC, won 30-25, 30-28, 30-24, dropping the Huskies' record to 1-4. Sarah Stein had nine kills and hit .333 for the match.
BC led just 18-17 midway through the first game, but increased its lead to 24-19, its largest margin of the game, and went on to take the first game.
In game two, Northeastern trailed 24-25 after a Kira Batura kill, but could not get any closer. BC was able to close out the match by taking game three, 30-24.
Lauren DeTurk led all players with 12 kills, while Britney Brown had 21 assists and Jessica Tkachuk added 14. Batura added eight kills for the Huskies.
Northeastern gets back in action tomorrow morning when they host Sacred Heart in the Huskies' home opener
