The Huskies swept Brown University Friday afternoon 3-0 (30-17, 31-29, 30-20) in the first game of the Albany Classic in Albany, N.Y. Kira Batura led all players with 12 kills, while Caitlin Tittl contributed 11. The win evens the Huskies' record to 6-6 on the season. Northeastern returns to the court at 7 p.m. to take on the University at Albany.

Northeastern hit .308 in the first game, the highest percentage of the match, en route to taking a 1-0 lead. In game two, the Huskies fought back from an 11-16 deficit to eventually tie the score at 18-18. Northeastern went in front 29-24, but five straight points from Brown leveled the score. Northeastern then took the game after kills from Brianna Seitz and Batura. In game three, the Huskies put away Brown in a game that saw seven players record three kills.

Jessica Tkachuk led all Huskies with 21 assists, while Britney Brown had 17.
