The Northeastern men's track & field team finished in second place at the second annual Roadrunner Invitational hosted by Ramapo College on Saturday in Mahwah, N.J. The Huskies collected 95 points, just 11 behind Ramapo's winning effort of 106.

Northeastern finished with two individual triumphs and four second-place performances.

The Huskies throwing squad headlined Northeastern's performance at Ramapo College after blanketing the podium with a 1-2-3 finish in the hammer throw. Freshman Max Milder came away with the title after a throw of 54.52m (178'10) while classmate James Hall captured second with a hurl of 52.91m (173'07). Veteran Alex Iannetta posted the third-place performance after a toss of 51.42m (168'08).

Senior Patrick Jablonski continued NU's throwing dominance with a triumph in the shot put. The Deerfield, Mass. native defeated 18 other shot putters with a throw of 15.34m (50'4).

Joe Siravo and Tejorn Davis combined for three second-place showings on Saturday. Siravo outlasted 25 other harriers in the 5,000-meter run with a mark of 15:56.99. Davis made his mark in the jumps portion, grabbing second in the triple jump with a combo of 14.02m (46'0). The second-year leaper backed that up with another second-place performance in the high jump after clearing 1.87m (6'1.5).

Sophomore Anthony Gentles notched seventh in the 400-meter dash after finishing one lap around the track in 50.58. Freshman Andrew Snyder also took seventh in the 800-meter run after crossing in 1:58.82. Sophomore Luke Malley ousted 45 others in the same event after a time of 2:01.70.

Freshman Michael MacKenzie and junior Kyle Audet posted respective times of 4:11.55 and 4:15.23 for 10th and 13th.

In the field, junior captain Brian Daly made the podium with a third-place clearance of 4.29m (14'1) in the pole vault while senior Brendan Bergson captured fifth in the long jump (6.53m – 21'5.25).

Finishing out the throwing component, a block of Huskies finished fourth, fifth and sixth in the shot put. Freshman Kevin Rosenberg logged a fourth-place throw of 14.43m (47'4.25) while junior Mark Mastone finished fifth (13.79m – 45'3). Rookie Jonathan White was the sixth-place finisher after clearing 13.59m (44'7). Classmate Conor Ebbs finished in 16th after a throw of 12.34m (40'6).

Ebbs made amends in the discus throw after a third-place mark of 41.88m (137'5). Mastone was awarded seventh after clearing 39.58m (129'10) while White picked up 14th with a throw of 37.20m (122'0). Milder was the 15th-place finisher after a pitch of 36.05m (118'3).

In the javelin throw, rookie Christopher Reider earned a fifth-place mark of 54.73m (179'7) while junior Greg Andrus posted a seventh-place measure of 49.22m (161'6). Lucas and Milder closed out NU's efforts with 16th and 20th-place marks of 37.21m (122'1) and 33.87m (111'1), in that order.

Northeastern is back in action next Friday, April 8, to partake in the Duke Invitational in Durham, N.C.
