BOSTON –Northeastern defeated James Madison on Saturday in a five-set thriller to extend its win streak to eight games. With this victory, the Huskies moved to 6-0 in conference play and 13-6 overall.

Posting her ninth double-double of the season, sophomore Amy Underdown racked up 18 kills and 10 digs on the match. Freshman Athena Ardila and senior Brigitte Burcescu were not far behind her with 12 kills each.

Freshman Gabrielle Tschannen tallied 11 kills, four blocks and two aces in the five-set match.

Junior Gabrielle Eyl was great from the back row, with 29 digs. Freshman Samantha Shupe and senior Kristen Walding combined for 54 assists.

From behind the line, junior Sherrie Wang recorded four aces, tying her career-high that was set on October 26, 2016 at Hofstra.

• James Madison went on a 8-1 run to take the third set

• Northeastern went on a 5-1 run to take a 15-8 lead
• Aces from Lund and Wang gave the Huskies a 19-14 lead
• A James Madison attack error secured the fourth set win for the Huskies

• A Lund ace put the Huskies ahead 7-5
• Underdown's kill gave Northeastern a 12-7 lead
• A Burcescu kill secured the match win
