BOSTON – The Huskies took down the New Hampshire Wildcats in a thrilling five-set victory on Tuesday.

After winning the first set and dropping the next two, Northeastern jumped out to a 10-1 lead in the fourth set, with kills form
Natalie Shollin and
Athena Ardila. The Huskies won the fourth set 25-13 to force a decisive fifth set, where Northeastern went on a 8-0 to take an 12-4 lead.

A kill from
Amy Underdown secured the fifth set and match win for the Red and Black.

Three Huskies posted double-doubles in tonight five-set victory,
Athena Ardila,
Samantha Shupe and Underdown. It was the first of Ardila's and Shupe's careers, and the second of the season for Underdown.

Ardila racked up 14 kills and 15 digs, while Shupe recorded 37 assists and 14 digs. Underdown tallied 14 kills and 16 digs.

Gabrielle Tschannen also had a great night for the Red and Black, posting nine kills and nine blocks.
Gabrielle Eyl had a great match from the back row, with 26 digs on the night.

The Huskies racked up six aces during the match: Eyl, Shupe, Ardila, Wang and Underdown.

This was Northeastern's 22nd win against New Hampshire putting the series at 24-22 in the Wildcats favor.
