BOSTON -- The Northeastern volleyball team (10-7, 3-1) will look to capitalize on their three-game win streak at University of North Carolina at Wilmington (8-4, 1-1) on Friday at 2 p.m. ET and College of Charleston (13-5, 4-0) on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Things to Know:

Gabrielle Eyl earns nomination for Senior CLASS Award
  • Eyl is listed as one of thirty NCAA Division I volleyball athletes across the country who were chosen as finalists for this award that focuses on excellence in the classroom, competition, character and community.
  • Her service at the local, Rosie's Place, throughout college paired with her selfless personality and leadership abilities, have proved her eligible and deserving of the award.
  • Eyl has tabbed 286 digs in the 2018 season and has eclipsed to second place in Northeastern's record for all-time digs with 1985.

Career Day for Huskies
  • In their match against Elon at home on Sunday, the NU had several players put up career-best numbers to help the Huskies to a 3-2 victory.
  • Nicole Magbanua tabbed 17 digs as her personal best.
  • Samantha Shupe racked up 57 assists to break her personal career record and registered 15 digs to tie her career best.
  • Natalie Shollin put down 19 kills over the net, breaking her previous best record by four.
  • Clare Lund tied her previous record for points scored against The Phoenix.
  • Kaylyn Winkler put up 13.0 points and 11 kills for the Huskies for her career high in both categories.

NU vs UNCW
  • The Seahawks have had four matches canceled during their 2018 campaign due to Hurricane Florence. Additionally, their scheduled matches have moved to Cape Fear Academy about five miles away from campus, which is where the Huskies will be playing on Friday.
  • The Seahawks and Huskies have matched up 25 times in their program histories with their first match in 2005 when NU joined the CAA.
  • In 2017, each squad won one match at their home court, a tradition the Huskies will strive to break during their road swing in Wilmington, N.C.
  • With their win at home against UNCW last year, the Huskies went on an 8-0 winning streak in CAA play. However, their loss to the Seahawks on the road was their first CAA loss of the 2017 season.

NU vs Charleston
  • The Cougars are one of the few CAA teams that the Huskies have an all-time losing record to, with CofC ahead, 8-3.
  • The Huskies beat the Cougars at home last season and lost on the road in Charleston, S.C., with the same outcome in 2016.
  • CofC joined the CAA in 2013 and the Huskies have played a pair of matches against them every year since, including a postseason matchup in 2013.
