BOSTON – Northeastern field hockey coach Shelly Morris announced the addition of graduate transfer Jonna Kennedy, who comes to the Huskies for her last year of eligibility after four years guarding the net for Boston College.
"After playing at BC for the past four years, Jonna brings a wealth of experience, leadership and knowledge with her," said Morris. "In just over a week we have already felt the impact she will have this fall. I am so happy she has a chance to compete for one more year with us!"
Kennedy had a standout career with the Eagles, being named ACC Defensive Player of the Year and ACC Scholar Athlete of the Year in 2021. She earned All-ACC First-Team, All-American Third-Team and was honored as NFHCA Regional Player of the Year.
In her senior season, she amassed just under one thousand minutes of play throughout 16 games, making 3.75 saves per game and recording two shutouts. Kennedy's junior season featured an ACC-best .794 save percentage and 6.75 saves per game.
The graduate transfer chose the Huskies in her final year for the "great location, great academics and the great field hockey program."
