Huskies top Elon in five sets to move to 7-0 in CAA play

BOSTON – The Huskies took down Elon on Sunday in five sets to remain unbeaten in conference play. Amy Underdown led the Red and Black, as she posted her tenth double-double of the season.
 
Underdown racked up 18 kills, 12 digs and two aces in the match. Brigitte Burcescu and Athena Ardila both had a great day with 15 and 13 kills, respectively. Gabrielle Tschannen tallied six blocks and four kills, while Taylor Reiter recorded four kills and three blocks.
 
Gabrielle Eyl was solid from the back row all match, with 21 digs. The junior is just one dig away from 1,500 career digs. Samantha Shupe and Kristen Walding combined for 46 assists.
 
From behind the line, Sherrie Wang and Clare Lund both recorded two aces on the match, while also posting nine and 10 digs, respectively.
 
With this victory, the Huskies extend their win streak to nine games.

Set One Recap:

  • Underdown's kill secured the set and match win for the Huskies
