Box Score BOSTON – Northeastern volleyball defeated UMass Lowell 3-0 on Sunday in the final match of the New England Challenge. The Huskies took a 2-1 lead in the first set and never look back, leading for the rest of the match in each set.

The Red and Black finished the New England Challenge with two wins and one loss.

Senior
Brigitte Burcescu led the match in kills with nine, while also posting two blocks. Freshman
Athena Ardila had a great all-around match, tallying up seven kills and seven digs.

Gabrielle Tschannen had another great match for the Red and Black, with six kills and three blocks. From the back row,
Gabrielle Eyl had 22 digs.

Samantha Shupe and
Kristen Walding combined for 27 assists. The Huskies racked up seven aces in the match:

With Sunday's win the Huskies finished up their non-conference schedule 7-6. The Red and Black will begin Colonial Athletic Association play on Friday, when they take on UNCW at 7 p.m. in the Cabot Center.
